Welcome to this tutorial on Running an ACH Transaction in the Virtual Terminal.
Please note that Virtual Terminal transactions are not linked to a customer record. If you would like instructions on running a transaction for an existing customer, please see the article on Running a Transaction from an Account Vault.
1. Start by clicking Virtual Terminal.
2. If you have access to multiple locations, select the correct location from the Location drop-down.
3. Click ACH.
4. Select the Transaction Type. For this transaction we will be creating a Sale, or Collect (Debit) transaction.
5. Enter the Transaction Amount.
6. Select the correct SEC Code for the transaction.
7. Select the Account Type.
8. Select the account ownership type Personal or Business.
9. Enter the Account Holder Name.
10. Start Entering the Routing Number.
Then select the correct Bank from the drop-down.
11. Click
12. Enter the Account Number.
13. Optional: Enter a Description for the transaction.
14. It is highly recommended to enter the Billing Information for every transaction.
The customer's billing information is required if you want to create an Account Vault.
15. Enter the Address.
16. Enter the Zip code.
17. Enter the customer's Email if desired.
18. Click the Save as Account Vault checkbox if desired.
19. An Account Vault Title is required to save the Account Vault.
20. Click Process Transaction.
21. If the transaction is successful, the Transaction Detail screen will pop up. From this screen you can Void the transaction and Email or Print Receipt.
22. Once you are finished, click Close.
That's it. You're done!
